Aval (Poha) Nanachathu

Ingredients:

  • Aval (poha) 1 to 1 1/2 cup
  • Coconut 1 to 1 1/4 cup
  • Cardamom 1 to 3
  • Jaggery 1 cup

Combine the grated coconut and jaggery well, using hand. When it combines well, slowly add the aval (poha) little by little and mix well with the coconut mixture. Finally add the crushed cardamom into the poha and keep it aside for about 10 mins till it becomes soft.

  2. i love anything with jaggery an dthis a new dish for me with so much of fresh coconut...my husband is going to love this...but i have a question....how is it supposed to be eaten , instantly or after a while , as the poha will get a bit chewy or soggy i think..the flavors are awesome but enlighten me about how it's going to be savored...
