White Cake

Ingredients:

  • Unsalted butter 1 1/2 stick
  • All purpose flour 2 cup
  • Vanilla essence 2 Tsp
  • Egg white of 6 eggs
  • Baking pdr 2 Tsp
  • Sugar 1 1/2 cup
  • Salt 1/4 Tsp
  • Milk 3/4 cup

Preheat the oven to 350 deg F. Grease two 9 inch round pan (with butter and all purpose flour) and keep it aside. In a large bowl, beat butter and sugar for 5 mins till it turns fluffy. Stir together flour, salt and baking pdr and keep it aside. Then combine vanilla essence, egg whites and milk. Add 1/3 of the flour mixture to the butter mixture, then add half of the milk mixture. Continue this alternative process. Pour this batter into the greased pan and bake it for 25 to 30 mins.

  45. White cake is is a great personal favorite of mine. Yours looks so tender and fluffy. My white cakes tend to come out a little heavy, sigh. Beautiful picture. Nice caramel decoration on the top.

  62. should thhe egg whites be whisked thoroughly to get white peaks? can u pls explain the last step? by combine do u mean we just need to pour them and not mix?
