Ingredients:
- Flour 2 cup
- Butter 1 cup
- Zest of one lemon
- Fresh lemon juice ¼ cup
- Granulated sugar 1 cup
- Vanilla essence 1 Tsp
- Baking pdr 2 Tsp
- Salt ¼ Tsp
- Eggs 4
Preheat the oven to 180°C. Grease one 9 inch cake tin and keep it aside. Beat butter and sugar till it turns creamy and fluffy. Pour the vanilla extract and mix it. Add egg one bye one into it and beat well after each addition. Sieve the dry ingredients twice and put the lemon zest into this. Add the flour and lemon juice alternatively and mix well. Pour it into the prepared pan and smooth the top with a spatula. Bake it for 40 to 50 mins. Transfer it onto a wire rack and cool it.
