- Dhal 1 1/2 cup
- Coconut 1/2 grated
- Turmeric pdr 1/4 Tsp
- Mustard seeds
- Shallots 3 to 4
- Curry leaves
- Garlic 2 to 3
- Chilly 3 to 4
- Dry chilly
- Salt
- Oil
Soak the dhal for 1/2 hr. Clean and cook it with salt. Grind together coconut, turmeric pdr, shallots, garlic and chilly into a paste. Pour this into the cooked dhal. Allow it to boil in low heat. Remove it from fire and season it .

ReplyDeleteThis curry is the lifeline of many a bachelors who are cooking dinner daily at home…it invokes huge respect from ilks of my kind!! This appears in my kitchen atleast once a week!! And I love it for being the simplest curry’s of all time..
